Rebecca Smith-Hameroff, Criminal Defense Attorney
BACKGROUND
Rebecca Smith-Hameroff was born in Baltimore, Maryland and moved to Florida in 2007. Rebecca earned her Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Delaware in 2006 and her law degree from FAMU College of Law in 2013. She is an active member in the legal community having memberships in The Florida Bar, Orange County Bar Association, the OCBA Foundation and the George C. Young Inn of Court.
Rebecca spent over twelve years as a prosecutor both as an Assistant State Attorney for the 9th Judicial Circuit and an Assistant Statewide Prosecutor for the Office of the Attorney General. As a prosecutor, Rebecca has taken over 100 cases to jury trial and has handled thousands of cases. She has experience handling misdemeanor and traffic offenses, domestic violence cases, drug trafficking, burglary, theft, traveling to meet a minor, solicitation of a minor for sexual exploitation, possession of child pornography, and racketeering.
Through years of dedicated experience, Rebecca has developed a keen eye for building strong cases and uncovering effective defenses and avenues for mitigation. Her unique background equips her with the insight to anticipate the government’s strategy and identify opportunities to protect her clients. Rebecca is fully prepared to leverage her knowledge, skills, and training to safeguard her clients’ rights and hold the government accountable when bringing criminal charges.
