Zach Chaney, Criminal Defense Attorney
BACKGROUND
Zach Chaney was born and raised in Pikeville, Kentucky. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kentucky and his Juris Doctor from Ave Maria School of Law.
During law school, he interned at a financial litigation firm that focused on securities litigation and inspired him to become a trial attorney. During his internship, he worked on cases against some of the biggest corporations in both State and Federal Court.
Prior to joining Smith and Eulo, he served as an Assistant State Attorney in the 9th Judicial Circuit in Orlando, FL., gaining invaluable experience prosecuting a wide range of criminal cases. During his time at the State Attorney’s Office, Zach handled cases ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies, including DUIs, Thefts, Burglary, Robbery, Drug Possession, Racing, Open Carrying a Firearm, and countless other charges. This insider perspective now gives him a critical edge when building strategic, effective defenses for his clients.
Outside the courtroom, Zach is an avid fan of horse racing, spending time on the golf course, and collecting bourbon.
