Group of Colombian Nationals Arrested for Burgling Homes and Businesses in Orlando
Law Enforcement arrested a group of 5 Colombians for allegedly breaking and entering homes and businesses in Orange and Osceola Counties. It is suspected that the group was targeting the homes and apartments of business owners while they were at work.

Officials said that the suspects drove to an apartment complex near Universal Boulevard and Sand Lake Road, where they kicked in the door and burglarized the residence. Law enforcement followed the suspects and arrested two women and three men. The group is now facing charges of criminal mischief, grand theft third degree, and burglary of a dwelling.
Furthermore, law enforcement believes that the group is suspected of having been involved in several other burglaries across Florida and other southern states.
From a Defense standpoint, it would be critical for each member to obtain independent counsel. The extent of each member’s involvement could play a key role when defending this case. Counsel could argue that a Defendant’s role in the alleged burglary was an isolated event and not a repeated course of conduct. To strengthen this defense, it would be crucial to obtain any available evidence and testimony to prove that the defendant’s involvement was limited.
