Jennifer Hernandez was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She graduated from Greater Miami Academy, before continuing her education and earning a Bachelors of Science in Political Science with a minor in Crime, Law, and Deviance in 2020.
Due to her desire and passion to advocate for justice, Jennifer continued her education at Barry University, Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor in 2023. While in law school, Jennifer held several clerkships—including clerking for a Senior Circuit Judge. She went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude and in the top 10% of her Law school class.
Jennifer knew that her passion and commitment to advocating and protecting others’ constitutional rights, was how she wanted to continue her legal career. Prior to joining Smith and Eulo, Jennifer served as an Assistant Public Defender in the 9th Judicial Circuit in Orlando, FL., where she handled hundreds of criminal cases ranging from simple misdemeanors to serious felonies. During her time at the public defender’s office, she gained invaluable experience, zealously advocating for her clients. She argued several substantive motions and tried numerous cases to verdict, that had positive outcomes for her clients.
When handling criminal cases, Jennifer understands that individuals accused of a crime are dealing with one of the most stressful times in their life. She is committed to guiding her clients through that process with compassion. Being fluent in Spanish has helped her ensure all her clients have a clear understanding of the legal process. Jennifer is prepared to zealously advocate for her clients to achieve positive outcomes.
