On October 31st, 17-year-old Jaylen Dwayne Edgar was arrested in connection with a shooting in downtown Orlando. The teen is facing two counts of
with a firearm and six counts of attempted first-degree murder with a firearm. Due to the severity of the charges, the State Attorney’s Office is charging him as an adult. The State is preparing for a grand jury indictment to bring formal charges and it is undisclosed whether they will file as a Pre-Meditated Murder or Felony Murder (the unlawful killing of another during the commission of qualifying felonies).
